General terms and conditions
Last updated: June 2026
§ 1 Scope
These general terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to all contracts between Plakos GmbH (hereinafter “Provider”) and its customers for the use of the PlakosAI platform and the purchase of digital learning content.
§ 2 Conclusion of contract
The contract is concluded when an account is registered and these Terms are accepted. When individual courses are purchased, the contract is concluded upon successful confirmation of payment or upon invoicing.
§ 3 Services
Platform access: the Provider provides a cloud-based learning platform with courses, quizzes and certificates.
Course catalogue courses: when purchasing an individual course, the customer acquires a right of use, unlimited in time, for personal further training.
B2B licences: organisations (tenants) purchase seats that can be assigned to employees. Seats are transferable within the organisation.
§ 4 Prices and terms of payment
All prices are in euros plus statutory VAT. Billing is by invoice (payment by bank transfer); the invoice is sent by email. If an online payment method is activated in future, the accepted payment methods will be shown in the ordering process.
§ 5 Right of withdrawal for consumers
Consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. In the case of immediate access to digital content, the right of withdrawal expires when performance of the contract begins, provided that the consumer has expressly agreed to this and has acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.
§ 6 Availability
The Provider aims for an availability of 99.5% on an annual average. Maintenance windows are announced at least 48 hours in advance. In the event of longer unplanned outages, we grant a pro rata credit under B2B contracts.
§ 7 Compliance and certificates
Certificates of participation are based on the actions carried out and the quiz questions answered by the learner. Unless stated otherwise, they do not replace any official certification by a public authority or professional chamber.
§ 8 Liability
The Provider’s liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence we are only liable for breach of material contractual obligations, and even then only up to the amount of the typical, foreseeable damage.
§ 9 Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Lübeck, provided that the customer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law.
